This past weekend, our cousins' baby girl, Kyle, celebrated her first birthday with a vintage Halloween-themed party! With black, orange and hot pink decorations, patterned linens and hay bales, the party was topped off with all the adorable toddlers dressed up in their Halloween costumes! Here are some more pictures of the cupcakes, just in time to get in the mood for Halloween!

Desert Heat Desserts
I have been very fortunate to have so many family occasions to celebrate recently! I spent last weekend in Palm Desert feting my sister-in-law during her bachelorette mini vacation. For a lingerie party, I prepared a dessert table to compliment the trip's theme of "Desert Heat", with white, gold and zebra motifs. I included (and transported from one desert to another!) a cake, cupcakes, cake pops, chocolate-covered pretzels, sugar cookies and lemon drop candies for the occasion. We had an amazing time celebrating my beautiful sister-in-law in the desert heat!

Chinese Panda Party
Last month, we celebrated my mother's birthday by going back to her heritage with a Chinese-themed party! I decided to take my first stab at Bakerella's famous cake pops for the occasion with pandas, fortune cookies, take-out boxes and rice balls. I also included a cute, girly fondant panda holding a Chinese take-out box with steamed rice. I will definitely continue experimenting with these adorable cupcakes on a stick!
